Perfect for our potty training needs!
I bought two of these in anticipation of potty training my twin boys. I was a little hesitant because the pee shield didn't look too substantial. But, after just a couple days, they've really learned to lean forward a bit to make sure they don't overshoot the shield. It's easy to clean, and I love that there is a lid and a little flusher. It's very cute! The one thing that makes no sense to me is the wipe dispenser opening in the back. You actually have to snap off the back of the potty to get into the compartment. This means you'd have to remove the back, open the wipes, put them inside, put the back on again, use the wipes, remove the back again, remove the wipes, close them, replace the back, etc. Otherwise, your pricey wipes would be dried out in a hot minute! I'm potty training twins here. No way am I going through all that trouble! Not to mention, the location of this little opening requires the child to get off the potty and walk around to the back of it to get a wipe. Um, no. We stuffed a couple fresh pairs of undies in there instead.
I bought some of the gray (Chewy brand, I think?) puppy training pads to use as a "rug" underneath the potty to avoid having to sanitize my floors a million times a day. This helps to catch any drips or splatters and we can toss it and replace with a new one at the end of the day. Good luck!
Great Potty
Great Potty . I needed one that wasn’t too small as I’m trying to train my special needs 4 yr old and this is perfect for his height . His legs don’t get numb anymore . Also he doesn’t care for the flushing sound of a real potty so I was concerned but the flushing sound on this potty is not loud to scare him and just perfect to be fun for him to flush it . Great purchase . Highly recommend it .
Love it.
When we first ordered this potty I was a little upset at the pee guard because my son is autistic and we can't get him to aim. We attached a seperate pee guard and haven't had any issues. He loves it and is already going potty after a few days without me having to remind him.
Update. My 4yr old is.now potty trained, but prefers this potty still when at home. My almost 2yr old is now wanting to use it sense his brother did. The 2yr old hates the sounds of actual toilets, but loves this one.
Highly recommended product. Especially if your training a special needs child.
Great design to make your little one feel like a big boy and encourage potty
This is a great little potty. As soon as we received it my 2 year old got very excited to have a potty looking like that of a grown up. We had been struggling that week to make him go potty; he was in his 3rd week potty training but was getting less intetested. However, as soon as he got this potty he wend to use it 4 times within 5 minutes and it got him on the right track again to potty like a big boy.
Pros:
- great design to makes little ones feel like big girls/boys
- anti-slip lads on base which makes it harder for a littke one to move around
- electronic flush is a nice add on to create more interest
- Toilet seat cover is helpful; once our little one toppled it over but thanks to the cover only a fraction of the pee went over the floor
No more diapers!
I Bought this for my 2 year old boy. Within a few days of training, I don’t have to buy any more diapers. It’s worth an investment! The quality is definitely there and love the back storage for the wipes. My boy loves the flushing sounds after he does his business. Hope this helps.
Easy to assemble
I purchased this for my 3 year old grandson. I liked that it looked like a toilet and was larger than most potty chairs. Plush he loves pushing the"flush button" that sounds like a real toilet.
